New releases, right in the dashboard
When you open Agent Quest, the app checks whether GitHub has a published stable release newer than your installed version. If it does, a small banner shows both the available version and the one you are using.
Expand the banner to read the release notes, open the release on GitHub and see the update instructions. No GitHub account is needed. Checks run in the background; if the network is unavailable, the dashboard keeps working.
Update when you are ready
“Remind me tomorrow” postpones the notification for 24 hours. Your browser remembers that choice across page reloads. If a subsequent release appears during that time, the app can announce it without waiting for the earlier reminder to expire.
Updates remain manual. The checker follows published stable releases: individual commits, drafts and prereleases do not trigger the banner.
How to update to 0.3.1
If you are using 0.3.0 or an earlier version, update manually once. Those versions do not include the release checker. After installing 0.3.1, you can receive notifications about future releases.
On the computer running Agent Quest, stop the app with Ctrl+C in its terminal. Then run:
agentquest update
agentquest
If you installed the project manually and do not use the agentquest command, open your Agent Quest folder and run the following after stopping the app:
git pull --ff-only && bun install
bun start
Refresh the dashboard after restarting. These commands follow main, which may contain changes newer than the announced release. If Git reports a conflict, preserve your local changes and resolve it before continuing.
Everything introduced in 0.3.0 is still here
Version 0.3.1 builds on the update dedicated to context, skills, plugins and subagent families. Context gauges, the live installed-skill inventory, the fleet overview and reports exported as Markdown or JSON are all included.
If you are discovering Agent Quest now, the 0.3.0 feature guide explains how to read those signals and follow your Claude Code and Codex sessions.
