01Save enough information before you leave

When you put an object away, record its name, its place and a useful detail about the spot. A photo helps another person recognise what they are looking for. If you saved an augmented reality pin on a compatible device, that can provide an additional reference in the room.

For a document folder, describe its colour and the drawer it occupies. For an accessory, include the pouch or case. Details that seem obvious when you are holding something are often the ones another person needs later.

02Share the item’s record

Whery lets you share an item as a read-only .whery file, for example through Messages. It carries the saved information, including the photo and any available AR data. The recipient opens it with Whery to see what to look for and where you recorded it.

This is a snapshot of the shared item, not a continuously updated family inventory. It does not automatically add the object to the recipient’s collection or give them access to everything else you have saved. Choose the item you want to share, and send it to the person helping you.

03Let the person at home use the right reference

The photo and written location provide a starting point. When the file includes a usable AR pin and the recipient has a compatible device, Whery can show the saved point after recognising the same environment. They need to be in the place where the pin was recorded.

If the room cannot be recognised, the written description and reference photo still explain the intended location. A precise note is therefore useful even when you normally use AR yourself.

The saved point will not follow an object that has been moved. Keep the record up to date, and mention any change you know about. The goal is to replace “No, the other drawer!” with information the other person can actually use.
